DUI Counterattack, Hillsborough, Inc., was incorporated in 1971 to
provide
drug and alcohol education courses
to persons convicted of driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol or other
drugs who live, work or attend school in Hillsborough County. Currently
Florida Statues require that persons convicted of driving under the influence
must attend a substance abuse educational course , complete the evaluation
session by a certified evaluator and complete treatment or couenseling as
recommended by the DUI program. DUI Counterattack is a private, nonprofit
corporation and is supported solely by user fees.
The Florida DUI system is regulated and monitored by the Department of Highway
Safety and Motor Vehicles. Completion of an
approved DUI programis statutorily required of individuals
violating Florida's DUI laws. Attendance may also be required for alcohol and
controlled substance related administrative suspensions.
The primary goal of the DUI system is to reduce the number of repeat offenders
on Florida's roads.

For added convenience, DUI Counterattack clients will now have the opportunity
to conduct the following business by telephone at our Tampa office at (813)
875-6201:

Reschedule evaluations and/or classes by telephone with credit card payment.

Change treatment agencies or re-opening of file for treatment, with the
assistance of an evaluator or registrar. Credit card payment will be required.
Forms will be sent to the client for their signature and returned to DUIC for
verification with a copy sent to the provider of their choice.

Duplicate certificates may be requested by telephone with payment by credit
card.
